Wall Crack Repair at Carrara, Queensland

The Problem:

Being close to the water and being battered by king tides have taken its toll on this retaining wall over the last 20 years.

The Solution:

We stripped the render back, exposing the original blockwork. We installed our GoBar system which reconnected and reinforced the affected areas both horizontally and vertically. Next we filled all the gaps and cracks with our high performance structural grout. We also needed to install stainless steel ties into the blockwork/concrete to help the new render grab and have a solid bond with the existing blockwork/concrete. The render we used is a high performance structural grout and can withstand the harshest of environments.
